Meet Adrian Nash

Hi Adrian! What’s in your mug?

Caramel coffee or Coke Zero.

So, what’s your story? What brought you to SG?

I started working for Smith Goodfellow in May 2017, just as the team had moved to their new offices in Stockport. Public relations is an industry I had always been interested in, and my previous experience as an administrator allowed me to join the team as an accounts coordinator and bookkeeper. I immediately warmed to the friendly and creative atmosphere and was inspired by the company’s strong sense of social responsibility.

What’s a typical day/week in your role like?

Most of my time is spent ensuring the accounts are up to date and processing and logging incoming invoices. Recently however, I have been more involved in the writing of press releases. Soon I will be expanding my role to producing videos and learning all the ways in which the medium can be used to convey different information.

Describe yourself at work in three words

Friendly, broad-minded, conscientious.

Describe yourself at home in three words

Relaxed, content, inspired.

You’re clearly a creative guy outside of the office too, how do you bring this skill into the workplace?

The six years that I have been playing in a band has given me a great deal of experience and life lessons. One of the most applicable to the workplace is an understanding of the need for patience and diplomacy when it comes to collaborating in a creative space.

Any songs/albums on repeat at the moment?

6LACK – Free 6lack
Rihanna – Anti
Incendiary – Thousand Mile Stare
Travis Scott – Astroworld

What’ve you learnt about SG office life since you have been here?

There are some mornings where coffee is integral. Sometimes standing up is equivalent to offering to make brews. Luna, our office dog, has a keen enthusiasm for recycling. Parking spaces are serious business.
